Overview

A new version of MOZART is released every 6~8 weeks hoping that all users would update their products and be introduced with the new features to have better development and system operation experience.

Most times the new versions affect pegging or simulation to have different results from the previous versions. Sometimes the result changes could be avoided by fixing the code in the project otherwise, the changes are inevitable and has to be acknowledged. Either way, it is important for the developers and operators to learn and understand the reason causing the changes. However, the process to understand the changes requires repetitive installation and uninstallation of the client. A new version needs to be installed to diagnose what changes affected the result to be different, and during the diagnosis process, the older version needs to be reinstalled when there is a request to make changes to the current system. This is what makes it most users difficult to decide whether the version upgrade is necessary or not because it requires too much effort.

For these reasons, we made changes to MOZART IDE so the versions of the domain library can be switched on the fly. If you update your MOZART IDE to 2022.122.0 version, you will no longer need to repeat installing and uninstalling the client to change the versions back and forth. We can assure these changes will let users diagnose the new versions while working on the current version system at the same time and lift off the burden to proceed with the update.

What are the Changes and Who is it For?

The changes made are mainly for the developers who use MOZART IDE. Since the changes in the domain library are the main reason that affects the difference in the results of the two versions, the developer plays the main role in discovering the logic change and confronting it. See below to check what will be changed after the update.
